Carlos facilitated a workshop on Intercultural Competence for a conference I helped organize. His workshop was so engaging, fun, and thought-provoking that people were talking about it all day!

Some people touch you hard to make a difference. Others - it is a light brush that causes change and the pursuit of excellence to begin. Carlos – the man in purple – is the latter.

Personally - Carlos has been a friend and lover of the life we get to experience each day.

Professionally - Carlos has served as a translator testing service for our corrections facility. Carlos’ insight ensures our Officers, have the experience, fluency and ability to quickly/precisely translate our inmate’s claims, messages and statements fluidly from Spanish to English and back. Carlos examines our Officers personally when testing their fluency in the Spanish word and lexicon. His certification process, both verbal and written, provides a valued assessment of the expertise and fluency we can call upon in even the most stressed of situations. Carlos is complete, thorough and a voice of expertise when completing our Officer’s testing regime.

I would happily provide more detailed insights to Carlos and his benefit to you personally or to your business and facility - if you only let him in!!

I am the GEAR UP Site Coordinator for Grand Island Public Schools and we had the pleasure of having Carlos speak at our team’s retreat. He focused on challenging us to understand our biases and understand each other. The activities and conversations were insightful and advanced which lead us to continue the process of knowing each other and what we bring to the team. He is someone that I would recommend for any team, school, or organization that wishes to grow with a growth mindset.
— CÉSAR DURÁN GEAR UP Site Coordinator Barr Middle School | Grand Island Public Schools
Carlos has the rare ability to engage others by the way he listens and the insightful questions he asks. I believe this along with his knowledge and expertise makes him a wonderful asset to any organization looking to engage in intercultural development work.
